What do you think of the georgia school paying kids struggling in math and science $8 an hour to study?

i always struggled in math and I had to do the work or get left back. what message does it send? can we blame liberals for creating a society of victimization and raising kids that can't be motivated any other way then making money?? this is like the feinstein school. I used to work security there and ill never forget the crowds of kids begging the teachers for their stipend while the teacher tried getting them to write in their journals.i gaurantee you city year would only get the small percentage of kids who wanted to use it for college applications if they didn't pay. the kids really there to make a difference was extremely small, but I doubt they told the school to keep the money.
