Why isn't McCain attacking "Golden Parachutes" for the CEOs of failing finance corporations?

McCain/Palin is on a crusade against "greed, corruption, cronyism". If the cause of the current financial meltdown isn't due to conservative deregulation, but due to greedy, corrupt corporate officials that lobby Washington, why is that neither McCain nor Palin make ANY MENTION of taking action against such corporate officials, and allowing them walk away from the mess with probably a combined total of $1B in severage packages? The Republicans are currently fighting against controls contingent on the mive bailouts being proposed, which effectively leaves those corporate officials out of reach.
