Purchased a Moss berg 12 ga. mod. 935 semi auto. The shotgun calls for 3" or 3 1/2". will it fire 2 3/4" shel?

Yeah most shells will cycle that are 2 3/4in. If they don't cycle you can adjust the piston to cycle them.
