Quick relief for tongue scratch?

I got a molar rotator put in, and it has scratched one part of my tongue severely, so much that I can't sleep because it scratches more when I try to swallow. I'm wondering if anyone knows a way to relieve the pain for the night so I can get it removed tomorrow? I already tried Orajel, and it didn't work.
