I need to know all the info and shipping a puppy?

I was wondering what is the actual procedure of getting a dog shipped to you like what do you have to do? pick it up at the airport or is it taken to your house i have no clue. Because i want to get a puppy but the people(Don't worry my dad knows the husband, and they are professional breeder not puppy mills or byb.. by the way what does that mean? so if anyone who has gotten a dog shipped can you tell me what you have to do?
